Programs Offered:

Our Nursing Education program prepares students to become skilled educators in the field of nursing. Graduates will be equipped to teach, mentor, and guide future generations of nurses, contributing to the growth and advancement of healthcare education.

The Pharmacology program provides students with an in-depth understanding of the interactions between drugs and the human body. Graduates will play a vital role in ensuring safe and effective medication administration, as well as contribute to advancements in pharmaceutical research.

Our Nursing program is designed to produce compassionate, competent, and skilled nurses who can provide high-quality patient care. Students will receive a strong foundation in both theoretical knowledge and practical clinical experience.

The Biomedical Medical Sciences program delves into the intricacies of human health and disease. Students will explore topics such as anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology, laying the groundwork for careers in medical research and diagnostics.

 The Midwifery program prepares students to provide specialized care to expectant mothers and newborns. Graduates will be equipped to support women throughout the childbirth process and ensure safe deliveries.

 Public Health professionals play a crucial role in promoting community well-being and preventing disease. Our program equips students with the knowledge and skills to address public health challenges on local, national, and global scales.

 In the Toxicology program, students will gain a deep understanding of the effects of chemicals and toxins on human health. Graduates will be prepared to assess and manage toxic exposures and contribute to environmental health protection.

The Medico Surgical Nursing program focuses on providing specialized care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. Students will learn to manage pre-operative and post-operative care, as well as support patients through their recovery.

 Medical Laboratory Sciences play a pivotal role in healthcare by conducting diagnostic tests that aid in disease detection and management. Our program prepares students to perform a wide range of laboratory analyses with precision and accuracy.



NURSING PROGRAMS

Nursing is not just one of the most well-known jobs in the health care industry, but it is also a time-honored profession that plays an essential role in contemporary health care teams. It does not matter if a nurse is beginning their career with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree or rising to leadership roles with a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree, the education that a nurse obtains is critical for the success of patients as well as career mobility. Our various nursing programs prepare students to provide high-quality professional nursing care in a variety of settings and specializations by providing a curriculum that is centered on evidence-based practice, clinical reasoning, innovation, inter-professional communication, and information technology.

Midwifery

Nurse-Midwifery Program Learning  outcomes / objectives:

 Upon completion of the course of study, the student is expected to do the following:

 

 1. Demonstrate competent beginning practice of nurse midwifery as a primary provider of care to childbearing families and women in transition throughout the life span.

 2. Utilize critical thinking to incorporate research, theories, knowledge, and skills into nurse midwifery practice.

3. Provide culturally competent care that addresses the ethical, legal, political, social, and moral issues affecting those in need of nurse midwifery care.

 4. Provide leadership to promote intradisciplinary and interdisciplinary collaboration to meet the needs of childbearing families and women throughout the life span.

 5. Contribute to the advancement of nursing and nurse-midwifery through awareness and involvement in factors affecting health policy, professional education, and the health care delivery system.

 6. Manifest the principle of cura personalis (care and respect for the individual) in implementing humanistic models of caring for the childbearing family and women through the life span. 

License Vocational Nurse (LVN)

Here is a curriculum for a License Vocational Nurse (LVN) program at Adi University Yaounde, Cameroon. The program is designed to be completed in 12-18 months and includes a total of 48 credit hours.

The LVN program at Adi University provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the nursing profession and equips them with the knowledge and skills necessary to practice as an LVN. Students will learn about anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, pharmacology, and various aspects of patient care, including mental health and maternal-newborn nursing. The program emphasizes hands-on experience and clinical practice to prepare students for the demands of the nursing profession. Graduates of the program are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN) and begin their career as licensed vocational nurses.


Registered Nurse (RN)

Here is a curriculum for a Registered Nurse (RN) program at Adi University in Yaounde, Cameroon. The program is designed to be completed in four years and includes a total of 120 credit hours.

The program emphasizes hands-on experience and clinical practice to prepare students for the demands of the nursing profession. Graduates of the program are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) and begin their career as registered nurses.
